If I was to pick one band that encapsulated the sound of Masstransfer, it would be Landing. They are not just one of my favorite bands of all time; the band members are some of my favorite people, and I’ve been a fan since at least 1998. Starting with their first EP, *Centrefuge*, their music has grown and evolved around the core of Adrienne and Aaron Snow, with Daron Gardner first taking up drum duties before moving to bass.

Looking back now on their full career, you can see phases emerge: like the shorter acoustic-based songs of the early 2000s; or their collaboration with Yume Bitsu and K Records; or later, a series of releases that utilize the services of a drum machine. In each case, the best components of each phase are absorbed into the Landing canon, synthesized and improved for the next batch of releases.
